Moral Orel Badly Written Review

Posted by NoobClock666 - 2 days ago

Moral Oral is a good show. It's really good. Stop Motion is an underrated scene CGI came out. The writing and characters are well-made. But it was canceled after three seasons and had a rush ending because that's what Adult Swim does best. Cancel their best shows.

But I'm sorry. I'm very sorry. I just don’t like this show. I really don’t like it. But how? It studies religion and its stop motion. How can I not like it? Well, everyone in the show is bad. Well, let me explain... Studio. Ha.

Moral Oral is an adult swim show about a Christian boy named Oral. He lives in the Christian town of Moulton, and he learns lessons about religion and life from the church or the people, But Oral is a fucking idiot. He takes the lessons, misses understanding them, and causes damage to himself, the people, and the town. Like the time before, he raised the dead in the first episode, and the zombies started killing everyone. Or the time he started smoking crack. What about the time he started raping women? Okay, that might not be canon, but why the fuck did they make him do that in the first place!? And his dad would beat him and give him even worse bad advice. This happens every episode until season 2.

Look, there's only one joke in the whole show.

“RELIGION IS FOR IDIOTS”

Quote from what Quagmire says to Brian on their dinner date.

That's it. That's the only joke. They keep spelling it out the whole time over and over again until you fucking hate Christians and you want to burn down a church. This whole town is straight out of a horror movie. Everyone in this town is a fucking morons and evil people. LIKE A CULT. It is stated that Christians in this show are stupid bad people, and that's how they represent them, even though Christians are supposed to be good people most of the time, like the superheroes in The Boys comic. They are bad people because the creator made them bad people. (I still like Garth Ennis.)

I mean, everyone in this town is a one-dimensional backwoods bad person with no redeeming quality. They all have problems, but they all just pray to God to help them and do nothing about it.

There's the librarian, who sounds like a cunt that burns books like the Nazis do. And she has an egg fetish.

There's a boring teacher.

There's a nurse who is just a dumb bimbo.

A dumb cop who stinks at his job.

The head of the school cheats on his wife, but he gets mad when his wife cheats on him.

There's an annoying bully with no personality.

A priest who rapes little boys. Okay, he doesn't, but he's another Christian idiot, so fuck him.

And let's not forget Oral Father Clay and Oral Mother, whose names I don’t bother to write. Both hate each other, but they are still married for no real reason. And also bad parents with no love for their kids.

And his little brother Blox is just like Chuio because he needs to die. If he dies, no one will care.

That's my whole problem with this show. I hate everyone. All the characters are one-dimensional dumbasses. … Well, the only characters I don’t hate are that girl and Oral Grandpa, but they are both not Christians. Even the oral dog is Jesus as a dog. But every adult in town wants the dog to be put down because Oral loves him more than Jesus, and that's not right. Dude, the parents love Jesus more than their kids. If they would marry him and fuck him, they would.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS TOWN!!!??? What is wrong with these people? Is the town full of led poison idiots from 2fot in TF2? Did the government brainwash them during the Cold War or something like that? That would be a great horror book or something. I mean, like The Giver.

This is why Garth Ennis thinks of religion. People fighting and getting killed over an imaginary friend. Does God even exist in this show? Do I believe in God? I'm kind of mixed. But if there was a god, this town should have been destroyed a long time ago. But I don’t want to think that God is evil. I like to see him as a watchmaker. He makes the watch and just looks at it, not doing anything to it. I learned that in art history, and I first thought of Watchmen because of it.

This idea of a town full of evil religious idiots would work if there was a main character who was an outsider and new to the town, so the audience could have someone to relate to and be a route for. Just like that one Jewish doctor in that one episode where it was a horror movie. I liked him, but we only saw him once. I’m fucking sick of the bad guys in this show always winning. Yes, bad people win most of the time, but I don’t want to keep watching this. Every terrible thing the bad people are doing in this town, and no one is doing anything to stop it.

Fan of the show: “Don't let the first season scare you off. Season 2 is better, and season 3 is amazing.”

Yes, I did watch seasons 1, 2, and 3. And they were better. The plot was starting, and the characters acted like real humans. I even talked about that episode with the only Jewish person who is not a trader in his religion. And his religion even saved him. But here is what I didn’t like about the newer season.

THEY TRY TO MAKE ME FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE, really?

So in the last two episodes of season 2, Oral and his dad go out on a hunting camping trip for father-son bonding. Here, Oral doesn't want to kill any of the animals, which makes his dad drink more and more. Soon after his dad goes on a crazy rant, Clay shoots his son. And he blames his son for it. Then he uses an Oral Lucky shirt to bandage the bullet shot, but then he drinks the medical alcohol and not the bullet shot. The whole episode was painful to watch and that was the point. This deeply changes his relationship with his dad and his worldview. And his dad still didn't care; she shot him, and now he has to walk with a limb for the rest of his life. Season 3 is all about the events that led to the camping trip and people's backstories. And even Clay's back story on why he's such a horrible person. Even his wife is the reason why he drinks because of her own bad family, with her father being the only good person in her family. Showing not everything is black and white.

I felt nothing for that.

Wait, wait. So.. now he found out his dad is an asshole? REALLY? He's been like that for the whole show!

WHAT A FUCKING DUMBASS!

I still don't care about oral. He did so many bad things. Even brought the dead back to life! Zombies were killing people, but the people were more worried about them being naked than eating people. I would not care if his dad did kill him and his dad fucked the bullet hole in his son's head. I'm pretty sure that's a Canon thing he would do. No, Oral should still be alive and die later, when his dad rapes him in the bullet hole and later in his eyeballs. ,

SUPER RANT!

One thing I want to point out is the name Oral. What a fucking dumb name! That's the word used when having mouth sex! Something the idiots in this town will never enjoy. And sticking of mouth, I hate his voice so much. He sounds like his mouth is full of something wet, and I want it to stop. He sounds like he belongs on the web show Chikin Nuggit. This is another show I hate. Now let me talk about the episode that got the show canceled. In the episode Broken, it stars four characters: the Nazi Librarian, the boring teacher, and the bimbo Neuse. Stuff happened to them, and I still didn't care. They're Christians! And Christians are bad people in this show, so who cares? Who cares! Who cares! Who cares! I don’t care for anyone! Just like I don't care for the characters from Brickleberry, Paradise PD, Farzar, and Family Guy. They are all just boring pieces of bad writing. Oral should not have a happy ending in the final, and THE WHOLE TOWN SHOULD HAVE BEEN BLOWN UP BY THE RUSSIANS DURING THE COLD WAR!

The moral of the story is:

“Capitalism is bad for you, and communism is fucking awesome.”

A quote I edited from Smosh Babies.

Okay, I should calm down.

I mean, season one is kind of like the first season of Bojack Horseman, which is also a show about a bad person. But he wasn't some dumb fuck Christian! -

But I still like the first season, and it did have good writing. Something the first season of Moral Oral was warning me how to do.

Look, Dino Stamatopoulosl is so fucking annoying with his hatred of Christians. Okay. I'm fine with Garth Enis's hatred of superheroes because they were fun to read. Mostly with the Punisher. But he does like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

This is a good show. But I can never enjoy it. I try, but I can't bring myself to enjoy it like most people. Bring home the sad fact that not everything is for everyone. If you love this show because of the writing and characters, Good. You should. It's a good show. It is a good show. And that's why Adult Swim shut it down.

What I really like is Before Oral, where Oral is a young boy and is now learning about God. I didn’t hate him. I care about what would happen to him. And I really love his grandfather. He's one of the best characters. And when Oral said, “What if God is a lie?" I wished the whole show was like that episode. Oral advice should be given by bad people, but then understand it and do something good.

Do you remember that one episode of Brain Dump? Max G hates the movie Moana. Even if it's a good movie, the sad truth is that not everything is for everyone. He’s right.

And the show, Moral Oral, is not for me.

Oh, The Book of Mormon Stage Play is so much better because Matt Stone and Tray Parker are good writers. HA!

iu_1231164_6704480.webpiu_1231165_6704480.webp

I still don’t hate Christians. I don’t Christians. I don’t Christians. I’m making fun of how this show hates Christians so much. But I'm making the devil the "hero" because fuck this show. Oh man, a lot of people are gonna hate me for this.

UPDATE:

I'm gonna regret writing this. But that's my problem latter.

as a person who likes moral orel (imo as a protestant myself, it kinda accurately shows my or just the average religious boy's childhood in a way), i respect your opinion, have a nice day :) (EDIT: all jokes aside, i can see what you're on about, stuff on TV is subjective and i just happen to like moral orel.)

But I have to give this show some credit. It is a good show. Too bad I can’t enjoy it.
Also, the fanbase is surprisingly more chill than fanbases like Chikn Nuggit. I feel like wholesome fanbases are… KIND OF PUSSYS. They will ban you from having a different opinion and can’t handle how bad the world is. But unwholesome fanbases are more adapted to be stone or something like that.

The show doesn´t hate Christians, it shows that they are human and flawed with their own troubles to deal with, and that using their belief as a crutch to run away or ignore their problems is only making them worse.
Season 1 was a parody of those old christian cartoons with a key difference: It genuinely grasped the subject matter and with no frills and no bullshit tackled the messaging and morals of those cartoons and the struggle of what happens when you feed the kids the bible verses and passages withouth adequately explaining to them what they mean and where they apply and just leave the kids to figure it out themselves, that are ( i think) used by religious parents that don´t want deal with uncomfortable problems or just don´t want to deal with their kids in general (which a parallel can be drawn with IPAD Kids and their parents nowadays in the present day).

Personally and honestly, Dino doesn´t hate Christians. He respects them and i think is one of them, because he didn´t hand-wave any easy to do answers or endings into the cartoon, he went about showing all of it as earnestly as he could. I cannot currently explaing the best way since it´s been a while since i watched the show,(couple of months to a year.) but i didn´t get any disdain or hissing contempt from the cartoon when i watched it. Just a guy that put all of the effort he could to clearly talk and present his thoughts about a topic that was on his mind while also trying to make it as entertaining as he could since it was a cartoon and not a biography.
This was one of the few rare (for this area of influence, only) times i saw a cartoon having an idea and presenting it thoughtfully and earnestly with no studio inter-politics bullshitery interfering with it in the process.
Which does not surprise me that it got´s wings clipped before it could shine with full glory it was capable of. I will never forgive the CEO and those snakes that whisper in the grass for making it a foregone conclusion.
But then again, it wouldn´t be a quality endeavor anyways if infitesimal lessers than itself tried to hinder it in any way they could because they couldn´t handle the realness of it and their own envy.

I don’t see the people in this show as PEOPLE. I just think they are victims of serial killers, to justify murder.
I just really hate the people in this show. I should have made it clear that I would hate them even if they were not Christians.
CRAP! I forgot to talk about “what would happen when they stop being Christians”? What would happen if they stopped using religion as a crutch to run away or ignore their problems, by making them even worse? They could do all the bad things they want. Like in Crossed. A COMIC BY GARTH ENNIS!

I'm a Christian, and while my mum strongly disagrees XD (she hates that show), Moral Orel does a great job at portraying the issues with how people interpret and live the religion. The misled Christians of the past have tainted the image of it, and Moral Orel showcases how the Christian world is not all sunshine, because it's not..

I just wish there was... not a hero, but a normal person to see how evil the people are in this show and maybe try to escape or try to kill everyone.

@NoobClock666 Eh,they would still screw themselves over and be just as miserable as they are now. That crutch punishes as much as it helps.
I do be wondering what a Cape comic by Garth would look like if he did it as a return to form to the silver age of the 1980s when it comes to the supers he likes? If anyone can pull of their vinyl and film reel noir style, I'd like to think it'd be him.
